Only small game - rabbits, pigeons, roos etc. Just used an old recurve and purchased arrows with broadheads. Weigth was a lot lighter than your 55 lbs compound. It is a pursuit I wish to pursue again one day. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hey slightly different topic. When I was in a castle in the Czech Republic (???? Prague I think) they had a street with some shops selling all sorts of things - but I liked the armour, swords, spears and stuff. There was also an indoor cross bow range and I waited for 40 minutes for a bunch of Spaniards to have a go. Missed the target, one or two weren't bad. I was pleased to see when I shot the first bolt it just missed the bull. The second was a little low. The third drew sparks from the first bolts head. The fourth just missed the first and the third. Not a bad group at 25 yards from a crossbow, 3 out of 4 within 2 inches. Now where is that indoor musket range ...........
