Re: Arnhemland hunt

Nitro,
We had the good fortune of spending over 3 weeks on 2 aboriginal outstations in southern Arnhemalnd. The 1st inland while the 2nd provided us with floodplain country and access to the coast, though fresh water was not as close which resulted in us bathing and drinking billabong water which was a concern. We were assured no large lizards resided in the separate washing and drinking holes. The locals bathed there daily, even though we never could get used to the idea.

We sure got amongst some great bulls, though getting to within bow range of some was never going to happen due to either open terrain or other particulars which were unavoidable. Our bulls scored in the 90's low mid and high, we did see some impressive 100 pointers, man they were great beasts.
In some instances wastage is unavoidable as you can well appreciate, due the size of the beasts and the remoteness of the area, though all attempts were made to utilize as much as possible. While we were camped with the locals as u can imagine there was no wastage

Heres some more pics
