I am just another cynic that see`s these 'new record, magnum all over the place antlered deer' that seem to only be shot by some one very wealthy or famous...figure it out cobber.
Don't worry Gryph, I figured it out but thought I would ask.
A mate has some deer "penned" in NZ and had a Fallow Buck that grew great antlers. About a year before he was going to shoot it it died with some others. So yes, I figure people keep them just to get a big set of antlers.
And of course I know what goes on in SA !!! (Not the ADA, the other side of the fence).
At least with Sambar ..................
and talking of big deer, I see that we might have a new Australian No 1 Sambar as well when it dries out. Will be interesting to see what it ends up.
