Thanks for posting Roger! Glad to see you are still at it! I really like this one. I like what you did with the sheath, too. Very nice. Simple and elegant. As a matter of fact, I just finished another "soldier gift" {scabbard yet to be made}. It'll be lashed to the Molle vest of a Ranger in Iraq in about a month. I made one for his DAD, yes, DAD when his Dad was deployed a couple years ago {as a 54 year old, fit as a 20 year old, too!}. Two sons in this family are in the service, with one boy not yet out of high school, yet. So I have at least one more to make and maybe two just to fit out the family!! Will post pix when I'm done with it. By comparison, mine are rough as a cob. That'll be obvious Very functional and very useful, but admittedly crude. I've made a number now for "Thank You" gifts for servicemen and they have seen combat throughout the Iraqi theater. |
