Bowhunting question!!!

Can the type arrow used prevent deer from "jumping the string??

Spoke with a RABID bowhunter who gave me some interesting info---

He thinks that when bucks "jump the string" in response to the shot that they are hearing the arrow in flight!
Even more than any bowstring sound!!

He learned this by shooting arrow over a friends dog who would jump and try to bite the arrows. The speed of the dogs response with his High country sniper bow(very quiet) was no different from a loud unicam.

He is trying different types of arrows to see if some a quieter in flight!! Less deer reaction--less wounded game. Neat!!

Has anyone noticed a difference with carbon vs aluminum arrows??

I am interested as I will be stalking doe with my crossbow soon. I may want to try carbon arrows if they are quieter in flight!!
