This isn't a simple question with a simple answer.
I would rather carry a SXS, and I would rather shoot an O/U.

A SXS lies across the arm so much better than those top heavy O/U's, but the O/U's seem to point so much better than those broad beamed SXS's.

My personal choice...several of each!
