Peter:
You would be surprised at how many birds are missed on this type of hunt. As Foxfire says this is shooting not hunting but the birds dont know that and by the time they get to where you are, there is often a 6 foot (2 metre) lead required if not more,,, depending of the wind.

After the hunt there is a conventional walk up hunt that most but not all guys take part in...some guys hang back at the cabin and get a few brews into them.

It may not seem like the most sporting of adventures but it is a great way to wrap up a season with your friends and is a hell of a lot of fun with more laughs than kills!
