Make certain you check your local game regulations. Here, it is legal only to shoot deer, pigs, bear and cougar with smoothbores. There is a rifle-only restriction on Moose and Elk. Rifled shotguns are classed as shotguns and not allowed either, evne though there are techincally rifles. It would be good fodder for a court case if one was prepared.
