Well, that's it for another year. Watched the dawn break over the Adelaide River floodplain yesterday, knowing that there weren't many birds flying at Harrison Dam, but determined to enjoy my last shoot for the year in the most scenic location. Dawn over the Adelaide floodplain, greening up nicely with the early wet-season storms. A few birds were trickling in and out over the dam wall. Although it was impossible to position myself under all of them, I did manage to pick up 3 magpie geese and a brace of whistle-ducks for the morning. Not bad considering the low numbers flighting. ...and I still managed to get home, hang the birds in the aircon, shower, and make it to work on time! Marvellous! |
