Speaking of non-toxic shot, would you run bismuth thru this or load steel but at lower pressure?

I wonder if this old girl was made originally made for a lady being so short before being lengthened?
Would be interesting but how can you tell if the original timber even with something as old as this to determine if original or not?
I don't thinks the Poms stamped the stocks with numbers - especially shotguns?
