This is an academic question since I live in a shotgun for deer only state. I have a 1956 Browning A-5 shotgun for which I have been told by a dealer just a mile away from my place that a rifled barrel could be bought. I have hunted pigs for many years with smoothbore shotguns in India with ball without any fuss or toruble. Would it help to buy a rifled barrel for my A-5 or should I use it with it's current smoothbore barrel and slugs later this year? My friend, business partner and hunting buddy on whose land I shall be hunting uses a Marlin rifled barrel bolt action shotgun which he really loves. I could borrow his gun but would like to use my "new" gun because it is too beautiful to leave unused. Thanks for the advice in advance and best wishes, |
