Beautiful pink and grey gallahs are good practice. Never ate one?! The colonials did. My dogs and cats have. But good practice. Legally can be shot in SA, at least as part of crop protection. I haven't had a hay crop for two years. This year's it is a must.
So later in autumn a practice possibility.
Might try eating a few too?
