I think if I was restricted to shooting sabots, the Barnes would likely be the one I'd choose.
Luckily, my rifled 835 Mosberg really likes the Canadian Made Qualandi 492gr.(1 1/8oz.) slug at 1,610fps.
It does well with some other slugs, like the 3" foster(1oz.) in WW brand at 1,750fps. Those kick a bit.
Both of these will make a 1 1/2" hole for 5 shots at 30yards, elbow rest.
I like full sized slugs, Tom, although I have not shot anything with one, yet.
Why shoot a 12 bore if it isn't shooting a 12 bore slug?
I've got .50 cal. rifle(s) & no shotgun-only area to hunt.
