Thanks for the comments on Lajot. The gun is a best quality sidelock of the first order. I have never seen better wood to metal fit. I have a second set of barrels for the gun in Bohler steel and 16/8x57IR; the 9,3 set are Blindee. The engraving is classic of the late 20s and early 30s...floral with cupids and nymphs...It can be seen in the classified section here. I believe that the gun was taken by a German officer as they went through Belgium, and the combo barrels were done back in Germany, as they appear to be a bit newer than the 9,3 set. Although very well done, the workmanship is not as good as the original Blindees. The combo set has a Goertz 4X scope in claw mounts that was a WWI sniper scope, from the markings.
