mehulkamdar One of the most dangerous things in shooting is putting a 20 Gauge Shell in a 12 Gauge shotgun. I would even extend this to going shooting with someone while I was carrying a 12 Gauge and they were carrying a 20 Gauge - the consequences of a cartridge mix up are horrendous. I have seen a 12 Gauge action and barrel that blew up from this - the owner had been hunting rabbits with his 20 Gauge. all well and good. The following weekend, he went out with his 12 Guage BUT in the pocket of his shooting jacket was 1 left over 20 Gauge cartridge that he didn't know about. Of course it accidently ended up in his 12 Gauge, didn't go off, opened the gun, the chamber was empty so he put in a 12 Gauge shell - and that was the end of that gun + nearly his head !!! 500 Nitro |
