Hi Guys I saw this nice 8 bore at the recent Birmingham Arm Fair and could not resist it ![]() ![]() Recently restored to a high standard, nice engraving an percussion style fences ![]() Probably made in the Birmingham trade and retailed by Sykes (several smiths of that name around Sheffield) Wide rib is attractive ![]() Third bite, reblacked lever and hammer ![]() I did not realise until Posted on another forum it was a 10 bore originally explains the light weight New Nitro proofs ![]() Nice 2 stub Damascus barrel ![]() Bore is perfect ![]() Comparison with my 10 bore Ball gun shows similar size Weight is 7 1/2 lbs, Light for a goose gun but I will not be putting monster loads through it barrel 32 inches Comments as always welcome TH44 |
