My first guess is Peugot guns were re-branded from another maker. Range Rover or Jaguar (?) was selling a gun with one of their models a few years ago. Easy to re-brand some other makers work. I almost bought a "Richard Burton" shotgun as my first shotgun once upon a time. More a few brands are made by particular makers still today. The re-branded brand of course tries to avoid this stigman, wanting to be original. The web link, lower paragraphs tend to support a rebranded explanation. The paragraphs above tend to lead to own making. EDIT: I missed the last section completely. They bought and added to the company group a gunmaker. |
