Back in the late 80's, I had a beautiful 20 bore SxS SKB. I bought it for ducks and geese at a local lake, chambered 3" so I could use 1 1/4oz. lead #2's and 4's. for the geese, along with my preferred #5's and 6's for the big mallards. What I found with THAT gun is it did not shoot anywhere near where it was looking, so I dumped it and bought a 3" Citori 12 bore that was murder on both ducks and geese. The steel shot law came in, I sold the Browning and stopped hunting migratgory birds. The SKB was a delightful gun to shoot, but only really shot 7/8oz. 7 1/2's well, everything else diverged so badly along with elevation problems, as to be ridiculous & so difficult to hit with. |
