today a 16 ga double gun, SN 7743 its engraved with C(aliber) 3. 11/15 http://egun.de/market/item.php?id=5919475 this gun startet probably around 1895 as a combination gun for the Teschner Collath shotgun cartridge No. 3 - very close to 14 ga and the 11,15x60R Mauser 71 rifle cartridge. I assume it had than damascus barrels. after the turn of the century it was found strong enough to get new steel barrels for nitro cartridges to shoot the common 16 ga. this work was probably done by an unknown Suhl gunmaker because there is no other name on the barrels. combination gun 16 ga 7x57R, SN 22651 W.
