"The left side of the upper barrel is marked "WITTENER - EXCELSIOR", has an eagle "NITRO" proof and marked TESOO/LAUFVERSCHRAUBUNG" on both sides at the breech. The action is engraved with a wooded scene of two deer on the left side and two boars in a wooded scene on the right side. The upper edge of the right side is marked "FRANKFURT A.O." and "W. COLLATH, SOHNE" on the left side. The upper tang has a bucks head amid floral vine engraving. The underside of the action, lower tang and forearm hardware are engraved with the same floral vine design. There is a beaded blade front sight and two folding leaf rear sights on the matte solid rib. The upper 16 gauge barrel has a 2 1/2 inch chamber, choked full and has an extractor. The right side of the barrel lug is marked "C 16=9,3X80" and the left side is marked with the matching serial number. There is a sling swivel mounted on the bottom of the lower barrel. Horn break lever and trigger guard, double triggers with adjustable forward trigger, folding tang peep sight, and mounted with a multi-point checkered walnut forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with cheek piece, horn buttplate and sling swivel. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches."
