I own a Beretta 56E, bought it used 25 years ago for Ł200, which was a good price then. $550 sounds good to me. They are excellent, high grade field guns, very robust and reliable. I have put literally thousands of cartridges through mine and the only work i've had done is to replace the ejector springs. It has served me well in some truly awful weather and has had hard use but is still going strong. If you like the feel and it is mechanically sound, buy it.
