using shot in a rifle

Over the last couple years, I have found that my sporter .577 Snider(as the chamber was reamed out for full length 24 gauge shotshells) can be used effectively for small game. I use 28 gauge #6 shot with a plastic sleeve to fit to the chamber and it has proved to work well. I have taken a number of bush chicken, squirrel, and other small game using these. This makes my old Snider a great hunting gun combined with my big game round ball loaded cartridges.

Anyone else using their rifle with shot, just for the odd little critter that comes along? I wouldn't use it for shot all the time, I use about 6 or 7 shot loads during the hunting season.
