I bought my first shotgun in 1971, a Stevens with a hardwood stock, side by side, and it fit me perfectly. I still use it today, and it looks like an old war horse: finish is gone, and only a little bit of blueing left. I've had to replace broken firing pins more times than I can remember, but still love it.
