Yes it is common to send them back to the UK. The larger British makers have agents here, or some go direct using a special shipper. The "dangerous ones" (ie. Cheap) get snapped up, sent out and rebarreled, sleeved, or teague lined. No doubt there are firms/people here that can and do this kind of work, but the SOP is to send 'em back to the UK. |
