I,m thinking of buying an old Charles Boswell side by side which has been renovated.(action tightened and barrels honed by the look of it. It has 2 3/4" chambers and is nitro proofed to 1 1/4 oz. Barrels are 30" long and both barrels are 1/2 choke. It has nice game scene engraving and is serial number 15342.
Can anyone give me any info on this gun as in how old it is, whether they are any good. Most of all is it strong enough to use heavy field loads and occaisionaly slugs? Any idea on its value?
