A friend of mine was given an old muzzleloading 12 gauge side by side. Lots of simple engraving, some game scenes. Both sideplates are marked Rich Hollis&Sons, and the top of the rib was marked London, and another company-XXXXXX&Goodrich(worn enough to not be able to read the first name). I'd call the gun about 70% condition, anyone know anything about the company? The gun would probably be fine to fire with mild BP loads based on condition, but he only wants it as something to have for history's sake, so no worries on shootability. Just trying to get him a bit of information. |
