Re: Slugger slugs in a rifled barrel?

A word of warning about shooting Foster style slugs in a full rifled barrel-- get ready to work cleaning the barrel. The soft lead will quickly peel off in the rifling and it is a mess to clean up. Once the barrel is leaded, the accuracy is gone.

That's interesting; it must vary from one barrel to the next. I've shot plenty of Foster type slugs in my 12 ga H&R Ultraslug rifle, with no ill effects.
