Like it or not, I would have to include the Remington 870 pump gun. It has sold more units and shot more game than most of the ones mentioned. If it had to be a double gun, then I would vote for a pre-1913 L.C. Smith 20 ga. in a higher grade, or a Beretta sidelock in one of the higher grades. If you want historical, Mr. Manton would be my choice. Durrs Egg made some of the most excellent flintlock doubles ever . Bob H.
