In 10 pound rifle, with 400 gr. bullets at 2400 FPS the recoil of the 404 and the 416 are going to be so close that you probably can't tell the difference at all. Both have about 54.5 Ft Pounds of recoil according to my "Load Base Recoil Calculator"
If you look at the original 404 load with a 400 grain bullet at 2150FPS we have 44.5 Ft.Pounds

The 458 with 500 grain bullets has 60 Ft Pounds.
