Out of four Winjammers my hunting partner and I bought about a year and a half ago, three jammed so badly when chambering from a full magazine that we got rid of them ASAP!!! Two were in 375...blue with walnut One was 416 Rem...blue and walnut One was 375 SS synthetic The SS synthetic functioned flawlessly, but they NEED to get rid of that fold down rear sight. I folds down at the damndest times!!! The other three were absolute junk! I sent my 375 blue/walnut to the factory for repairs, and it came back just as bad. They were embarrased, and made me a full refund without any problem, I have to give them that much. The other two were sold to folks who were warned of our problems...they didn't seem to care.??? I shot a buffalo with the CZ550 in 416 Rigby and thought for the money, it is a very good rifle. I like a set trigger, and did like the CZ's. It was nice to have for longer plains game shooting. The sights are a bit crude, and the stocks MUST be glassed, or you Will have something crack sooner or later. Of all these guns, the CZ was easily the most accurate. I now have one of those heavy Ruger RSM's. With a Timney trigger I just installed, it is a best buy. I just this afternoon talked to the Factory rep at the Elk Foundation Show here in Reno. He claims that Ruger is working on something better to replace their abomonation they call a trigger on the MKII. |
