I love the hell out my 45-70's because they're just so accurate! The cartridge is capable of under 1" groups at 100 yds all day if your shoulder can stand it. By the way, that's with the warmish Elmer Keith loads.

It's just not the cure-all a be-all cartridge that some might wish it to be.
