This is my understanding also - for reference, it is mentioned in Kevin Robertson's book "Africa's most dangerous".
What advantage it really offers over the 458 Lott is dubious though, unless you really need 2300fps . The whole point of the Lott was to get a reliable 2150fps without compression and pressure problems associated with the 458 Winchester at the time (which are arguably no longer valid anyway with modern powders).
