The recoil really isn't that bad. When you see me step back, I'm just moving w/ the recoil. I've shot harder felt-recoil rounds. If you look closely the recoil is straight back w/ no muzzle rise & slap until I roll with it. I feel this rifle felt-recoils much more comfortably than a faster round like the 505 or the heavy Weatherby's. Big & slow is more comfotable than small & fast IMHO plus the impact is spectacular.

I agree---when I go after the truely heavy stuff, I will use a harder bullet. This wouldn't be my bullet of choice for buff.
