Only one: the .458WM I built on a Remington 30S action, keeping the original (experienced) stock, with a 24" barrel measuring 1"O.D. at the muzzle - all metalwork Parkerized, Lyman 48 receiver sight and Redfield Sourdough front sight on a low ramp. I call it 'Old Ugly' - but beauty is as beauty does, so they say, and boy, does it shoot - many 100 yard full-power groups under 1", and functions slicker than the well-known mucus coated doorknob. As it weighs just under 11 lbs., it is also relatively pleasant to shoot, and balances well for fast handling. So I always refer to it by name fondly, with due respect. mhb - Mike |
