I was hit in the chest by a .45acp that came back on an indoor target range. The thing hit me and then nearly fell into my jacket pocket. No velocity to speak of but it sure got my attention and made me even more aware of the necessity of always wearing eye protection. Of course, eye protection got me into trouble once too. I was shooting an H&K P7m8. When fired a lot, those things get damn hot for those who don't know. Anyway, a piece of really hot ejected brass flipped up, bounced off the plastic shooting range lane divider, and landed perfectly on top of my yellow shooting glasses. Of course, in resting there even for a second, it gave me a nice heavy second degree burn over my eyebrow. ![]() Best, John |
