I guess that my post was not clear enough on a point or two.Some of the posts suggest that 150 fps of velocity increase or more make some choices much better.I think that with proper bullets and good bullet placement a 458 will do anything anyone needs short of armor plating.Bigger won't do it better if everything isn't done right the first time,a 105 mm howizer won't stop them if it don't hit vitals.If a guy likes bigger,then by all means go for it,confidence in you rifle is a very important thing.

I agree on not liking the recoil of the 458's & up, but have used the big ones for several years too long myself.My shooting shoulder is getting pretty arthritic as the years pass by.
