While you guys are busy beating up the 458 wm has anyone looked back in history to the 1870's on the American Great Plains? The darlings of the day could not light a candle for even modern loads for the "lowly" in the opinion of many 45-70 & 50-70. 50 million American Bison were taken down with them. I am not advocating that all you need is a 45-70 ; The bigger boomers certainly have their place,particularly with things that bite.My point is: What really wrong with the .458 WM? In reality it looks like a lot of quibbaling over splitting the hairs of personal preferance-How dead does something have to be?????
