Marrakai is responsible for a lot on this forum!!! All this talk about his 577 2 3/4" light nitro express has always made me dream for a 577 cal rifle.
Now I have a Ruger RSM in 375HH sitting in the cabinet. Lets say I take Marrakais advice and go the 577 route and rebarrel the Ruger to 585 Nyati then regulate the express sights for his preferred load of 650gr woodleigh at 1850fps.
Stupid idea??? I don't need it...just want one!! A relatively low recoiling 577 cal rifle would be a whole lot of fun.
How well will the Ruger handle the Nyati round? Will the large case capacity be a problem downloading to 1850fps????
Talk some sense into me please.
