New wood is planned for. Blackburn or any other decent maker would be very interesting. But I'd prefer not to use a drop box. Although I love it on the Mauser, I think it doesn't quite match the lines of the Winchester. But that's just me.
Any other opinions or hints on redoing this rifle from .375 to .404 would be much apprechiated.

As it stands now, the action is trued, the barrel (octagonal) is shaped, threaded and chambered, and the bolt sleeve is colour case hardened. Don't know why really, but I think it looks good...
The rest is still to do.

Also, opinions on open sights and scope mounts wanted.
