Any one who has doubts about the 458 WM should read The Art of Hunting the African Elephant by Richard Harland. Mr Harland shot over a thousand elephants. He is not an armchair balistitian. On page 363 of his book I think he sums it up with : "If a WattLottAckleyWeatherbyRigbyDakotaWhatsitWildcat is what you can not live with out,get it and be happy. If you own a 458 WM rifle though, rest assured that you already have one of the best elephant calibres ever designed. "
