Thanks for your comments. Your thoughts seem to be the concensus opinion. I am going to go with the M70. I hate selling any gun, especially since it is left handed. I likely will keep the M98 around to use for that next "new and improved" sooper shooter.

Additionally, do you have any thoughts on the 404 Dakota. My gunsmith tells me that it will fit the M98 just fine. I am not fond of a proprietary cartridge from a manufacturer that is currently in Chapter 7 bankruptcy but ballistically (on paper), it looks pretty good with good bullet sellection as well.
