I had a .375 H&H put up here in TX by a very well known smith...I decided to use his laminated stock for the project..turned out beautifully, rifle shot well under .5 MOA, but about 400 rounds into the project there was a hairline crack at the back of the tang...really not much to get excited about, but I called the smith and explained what had happened...his response was to put some super glue in the crack and buff off what oozed out of the crack...I would have expected neither of those things from any competent smith, either the tang crack or the response on handling the problem...
The rifle now resides in a McMillian stock..that will be my choice on any future projects...and yes, there were two cross bolts and a barrel lug that were all glassed into the stock...
