I went to visit Geoff Slee to work out a stock pattern for some rifles I am having made. While I was there, Geoff showed me some new laminated walnut blanks he has available. Even though these won’t have the classic look of a solid walnut stock and will likely not appeal to the purists, I they will still look pretty good. They should give me the benefit of a pretty strong and stable stock and will also take checkering like walnut.
