I n reading your post so far it seems to me that both of you have quite a bit of experience with big bore rifles. I have a #1 450/400 on order but I can't really say what I will use it forin the western U.S.. My question to you is is there any real practical use for these rifles on this side of the pond? I will have mine in camp on summer scouting trips in Grizzly country, available for 4 and 2 legged intruders, but most of the hunting applications I put a rifle to use for out here are 200+ yard shooting and I can't think of any reason to try this with the big bores. Any thoughts?
