Wharf, I commend you on thinking laterally and wanting something different, however Re "CZ 416 rigby, but the brass is to pricey and hard to find I have heard" 416 Rigby brass is readily available. If you are worried about the price of 416 Rigby Brass, I don't think you are taking into account the whole cost of the project and IMHO, the 416 Brass is the least of your costs. 1. Get someone to make an uncommon barrel size with a .411 bore. 2. Get it profiled for you and threaded to fit a CZ Action 3. Add sights etc 4. Get a gunsmith to make it work / feed. 5. Special Order dies 6. Limited selection of .411 bullets 7. You only need to buy 100 416 Cases and if you reload correctly (IE carefully neck size, only shoot the brass in one gun) you should be able to get up to 10 reloads from each case. 8. Large Selection of both premium and non premium (plinking bullets) available in .416 calibre. That should do it for a while. I think overall it would be cheaper to buy a CZ in 416 Rigby and get on with having fun. Please don't take this as "pissing on your idea" which as I said above I commend, it was your justification that I am commenting on. Good luck with your project - and keep ansking questions !!! 500 Nitro |
