500grains: In reply to: It has always been my understanding that rpm (speed of revolution) stabilizes the bullet. Increasing the velocity (at the same rifling twist rate) would automatically increase the rpm, hence the bullet would be more stable, and a slower twist-rate would be OK. It follows that a slower bullet would require a faster twist-rate to achieve the same rpm, ie stabilize. Can you clarify this? |
