It was designed by Paul Roberts of J Roberts and Son Gunmakers when he owned Rigby before he sold the company to Rogue River in California. Not an original Rigby pre war chambering but a nice round. Paul is a fine man to communicate with and when I have contacted him in the past has always been more than generous with his time and information. Just send him an e-mail and ask him what you would like to know - he hunts elephant and buffalo regularly in Africa and it is one of his favourite rounds from what I have heard.

These days he owns the W J Jeffery name in addition to his own very illustrious company.
