Mac, Although it was offered here at $899.00, I see it sold on GA for $799.00. It was a nice rifle, otherwise.
I opted for an FN Sako in 375 Weatherby at a good price. I have my early Win Mdl 70 and an Interarms Alaskan in 375 H&H and thought I wanted to play with something else.
Have you had any experience with the Pachmyr Lo-Swing mounts? I may move the one on the MK X to the Sako...???
L2S Sorry to be so slow in answering your post, but I'm involved in a very intensive radiation therapy treatment schedule. It seems the lump in my throat was cancer, and I had surgery about two months ago, and am now in the Radiation therapy phase . This is a daily affair that will take seven weeks, so I'm not visiting the net as I once did! To answer your question about the Pachmyr low swing, I do have some experience with it. Not on a 375 Wea, however! Mine was on a Mod 70, 338 Win Mag, and I had zero problem with it. Like a fool, I sold that rifle along with the Lo-swing, and Luepold 2-7 scope. I'd be interested to know how it fares on a 375 Wea rifle! I wish pachmayr had not stopped makeing this mount, as I found it ideal for the rainey tundra of Alaska, or shooting into the sun, accross canyons in New Mexico. I also had one modified, and mounted on a Ruger Mk-1 .22 pistol, with a Redfield pistol scope. It worked fine to flip the scope asside for running shots at Jackrabbits! For long shots at sitting rabbits, or shooting with a spot light for coyotes the scope was the nuts!
