IMHO, the quality of rings nowadays mean that I think if you
want a quality rifle set up, particularly on tac holing rifles,
then you need to lap the rings.

In the past this didn't seem to be as much of a problem but
the fact everyone is competing so much on price means the
quality seem to be dropping.
