To the best of my knowledge, no Whitworths were ever imported into the United States with a factory installed muzzle brake of any sort. I've not seen them offered overseas either. All the ones I've seen with muzzle brakes installed (which is darn few) have been after market installations.
Mikeh is correct, No Whitworth rifle I have ever seen came with a factory muzzle brake. Many American shooters sent their Whitworth African Express rifles to Maganaport to be ported, because they were, first wimps, and secondly didn't know any better, and thirdly, because when the Whitworth rifles were being sold regularly, Muzzle brakes, and BOSS systems were in Gun RAG vogue! IMO, useless!
Luv2Safari, if I bought that rifle you are looking at, the first thing I'd do is, turn the end of the barrel down, and re-crown!
